Our Philosophy

The philosophy at Sage Hill is a bit different than other programs. We have riding lessons but also elevate ourselves with tools like equicize (a strength training class made for equestrians) and building knowledge in our riders. Here we strive to develop well rounded horsemen and women. What does this mean? Essentially, we want to foster a learning environment where riders learn all aspects of horses including riding, management, care, and all associated knowledge accompanying these skills. We do this through additional ground lessons. Each lesson focuses on different aspects of horsemanship and knowledge that riders will be tested over. After completing a section of expertise, riders will get to add a signed leaf to our mural (coming soon).
